Janette was one to never sit still she enjoyed gardening, spending time outdoors, canning, and admiring the beauty of flowers, birds, and Asian art. Her favorite pastime was spending time with family and friends. She was a fantastic bowler and even had a 300 game. Janette selflessly cared for others she enjoyed working as a caregiver at Huron County Medical Facility and Temporary Healthcare of Midland for several years. Together they shared over 50 years of marriage, seven children, ten grandchildren, and countless memories. Sadly, Frank preceded her in death on January 30, 2011. While at Johnny's Dance Club in Bad Axe, she met the handsome Frank Minnick they dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on October 22, 1960.
Janette graduated from Bad Axe High School. Janette was born on to the late William and Mildred (Mayworm) Edwards in Bad Axe. Janette Marie Minnick, 87, of Bay City, our God-fearing, loving, happy, and selfless wife, mother, grandmother, and sister was born into eternal life on the morning of Friday, Septemat New Hope Bay, surrounded by her loving family.
